The Arlington Sq.

03

The Arlington Square is a proposed cultural hub located at the entrance of Margate, a seaside town in England. Its close proximity to central London and Europe are ideal, making this the perfect site to create a cultural destination. The Arlington Square will appeal not only to residents but will attract domestic and international visitors alike.

The Arlington Square begins at the boardwalk by the North Sea and ends at its rural maritime landscape. It serves as a connection between the sea, Margate and its residents by allowing it to become a performance, art and relaxation space for locals and visitors. The communal feel of this location will always open and welcome visitors from all around.

The site contains a public park (the PLAZA), a private event space (the HALL) and a performance stage (the STAGE) which allows for a series of organised and spontaneous events and performances to take place.

The Arlington Square, is bringing locals and vistors together through cultural events. This creates a ‘home’ within Margate, a revitalized space accessible for generations to come.
